Thank you for your interest in co-op housing! If you decide that you want to apply for co-op housing, you will want to send the following to our office:
1. The USCA Application form (Need Adobe Acrobat Reader)
3. The Summer 2008 Reservation Request
4. Verification of summer membership eligibility
5. The Fall 2008 Reservation Request
You can also get the form(s) emailed or sent by regular mail by contacting us.
How to Submit your Application

Berkeley, CA 94709 - Faxing it to (510) 848-2114. Be aware that we cannot process your application until we receive your application deposit, so please include credit card information on your fax, or call us with the information after you fax.
About the Application Deposit:
The application deposit can be paid by:
- Cash
- Check (make checks payable to USCA)
- Credit card (we accept Visa and MasterCard). You can write the credit card number, expiration date and cardholder’s name on your application form.
The application deposit is $60 of which $50 is refundable if you withdraw your application without joining the co-ops. (We retain a $10 processing fee.) If you do become a member, the deposit will be credited toward your co-op membership fee.
If you are a UC Berkeley EOP Student, the application fee is reduced to $35 ($25 is refundable). To be extended EOP status with us, you must include verification from the UC Berkeley EOP office located in room 140 in the Cesar Chavez Student Center on the UC Campus. The EOP office phone number is (510) 642-7224. If you are a confirmed EOP student and cannot pay the $35, please call our office for information on the Harriett Keyes Loan program.

Verification of Summer Eligibility - what to send
Acceptable verification includes ONE of the following:
(note that if you are applying to live in Convent or Hillegass Parker, you must also include verification that you are a graduate student or over the age of 25)
1. If you attend(ed) UC Berkeley during Spring 2008, we may be able to verify you by checking you on their website. Contact our office to see if we can verify your eligibility this way.
2. If you are eligible because you were/are a student during Spring 2008, you can verify your eligibility by providing us a document showing: your name, a current date, the name of the college/university, and indicates that you were/are a full-time student. (examples include current registration, class schedule, transcript, etc....)
3. If you are eligible because you will be attending Summer Session at UC Berkeley, you can verify your eligibility by providing us with your summer class schedule.
4. If you are eligible because you will be attending a college/university in Fall 2008, you can verify your eligibility by providing us with a copy of your Fall 2008 acceptance letter or other document which demonstrates that you will be a full time college student in Fall 2008.
5. If you are eligible because you have previously lived in the USCA, you don't need to send anything, as we can verify that ourselves.
